Situated in the heart of the Amber Valley, Ripley Academy of Dance Ltd. features two professionaly equipped studios in it's own beautiful grounds. It has the perfect safe and caring environment to foster a passion and creativity for the magical world of performing arts. Professionally qualified and experienced teachers will nurture your child and develop the artistry and self belief in all forms of dance and drama.

We offer an exciting range of classes from Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet to Tap, Hip-Hop Street, Lyrical and everything in between!

Ripley Academy of Dance prides itself on quality tuition led by highly qualified teachers at a very reasonable cost. Classes are always fun and are designed to encourage individual talents. All members of staff are highly qualified, DBS checked and supplementary to this hold a Child Chaperone licence with Derbyshire Education Authority.

Unlike other schools, Ripley Academy is uniquely situated close to Ripley town centre on it's own beautiful land at The Beeches. This creates a friendly family atmosphere and a safe secure place for children to enjoy their time. There are two studios equipped with Harlequin sprung floors, huge mirrors and the latest sound technology, ample free parking, a refreshment area to enjoy a drink or snack, shop to purchase Academy uniform and changing facilities all on site.

As an approved examination centre for R.A.D, ISTD, N.A.T.D and L.A.M.D.A all students may work towards examinations if they so wish or purely dance for fun and fitness!

Miss Diane Fleming became Principal of Ripley Academy of Dance in 1970. It has been at it's home at The Beeches since 1971. Former pupil of the school and teacher Miss Felicity Cutting bought the school in 2010. She had trained under Miss Fleming's tutorage from the age of 3 years old.

We now have a wonderful faculty of teachers who are experts in their fields and specialise in particular areas. This gives our students the opportunity to excel in every genre.
